The Reconditioning Associate works as part of a reconditioning team in a "straight line" flow system. This team based system requires associates to produce vehicles in a "straight line" flow, with each associate completing a set of standardized activities. The Reconditioning Associate will be responsible for zone maintenance, vehicle receiving, inventory scanning, vehicle movement (both on and off lot) and preparing vehicles for delivery while providing customer service. Additional responsibilities include completing wash and vacuums for customer and loaner vehicles, providing auction support, driving vehicles on and off lot and participating in facility cleanliness. Must have excellent customer service skills and ability to complete a variety of duties in a fast paced environment.

Sales Consultants work directly with our customers to help them make a vehicle purchase. Daily activities include explaining what makes CarMax unique, interviewing customers to determine needs and wants, presenting vehicles, taking test drives, running credit applications and processing transaction paperwork, and supporting our online customers via the eSales office. Like any commissioned associate, Sales Consultants determine their own income, which may vary from month to month. With consistent strong sales performance, CarMax Sales Consultants can advance to club level status such as Directors Club and Presidents Club. Many of our most highly compensated associates are Sales Consultants. Interested applicants should have a strong sense of customer service, be self-motivating, enjoy working inside and outdoors in all weather, and possess basic computer skills.
