Responsibilities include:
* Adhering to all CarMax policies & procedures as described by "Driver Qualifications" and by the "Drug & Illegal Substance Use & Testing".
* Loading vehicles onto a company-supplied asset (flatbed or hydraulic trailer) & properly securing for transport.
* Safely transporting vehicles to receiving location & off loading.
* Producing appropriate documentation (bill of lading) to support all transportation moves.
* Staging delivered vehicles in a lane designated by the Inventory Manager.
* Completing bills of lading by having an inventory associate at the receiving location sign for receipt of all vehicles.
* Submitting completed bills of lading to manager at the end of each day.
* Maintaining the Driver's Log Book at all times to ensure proper compliance with all Dept. of Transportation (DOT) rules & regulations.
* Performing a daily inspection of transport vehicle prior to each shift by completing the CarMax Driver's Daily Vehicle Inspection Report.
* Maintaining all manufacture's suggested scheduled maintenance as described by owner's manual for the transport vehicle.
* Reporting any & all damage to truck or vehicles in tow.
* Keeping transport vehicle clean at all times, both the interior & the exterior.


Successful Candidates Must Possess:

1. Class "A" Certified Driver's License (CDL).
2. Possess a "clean" driving record with no penalty points deducted by the Dept. of Motor Vehicles.
3. Some experience loading & unloading vehicles onto a hydraulic trailer preferred
4. Flexibility to work overtime as needed & accept change in daily routine as determined by manager.
5. Interpersonal skills that can establish & maintain effective, professional relationships with all related internal customers.

A Management Assistant's primary responsibility is to perform his or her duties in a way that exceeds the expectations of internal and external customers. As a member of the CarMax team, the Management Assistant's goal is to assist store management in creating both a superior customer shopping experience for our external customers & providing a superior work environment for our employees.

The CarMax Satellite Operations Manager is responsible for the supervision of all aspects of the CarMax Satellite Service Operations activities through his/her direct reports, including Inventory Associates, Service Consultants, Service Administrator, and Parts Associates. The Satellite Manager will maintain or exceed ALL key performance measures ûKPM's, on the Daily Operating Report, Monthly P&L, and Targeted Staffing Reports. The key distinction between a Satellite Service Manager and a Satellite Operations Manager is the requirement for Satellite Operations Manager to have successfully completed both an Inventory Manager PDP, plus 3+ months as the actual Inventory Manager; or successful completion of both and RPM PDP , plus 3+ months as the actual RPM.

While supervising Inventory Associates, Recon Technicians, and Cosmetic Supervisor, the Reconditioning Production Manager's responsibilities include maintaining the integrity of the Store's vehicle inventory, maintaining optimal vehicle flow through WIP (i.e., cycle time), achieving Newly Saleable targets, maintaining CarMax quality standards on the display lot, and maintaining both high quality and production efficiency for the Store's Cosmetic Technicians.

¿      Achieves and maintains an Inventory Audit rating at or above CarMax standards for all Inventory categories.

¿      Maintains Display Area Quality rating at or above CarMax Standards at all times.
¿      Achieves daily and weekly Newly Saleable targets.
¿      Ensures that CarMax quality standards are met for all newly salable vehicles via the FQC process.
¿      Maintains a schedule for all direct reports that provide adequate coverage to support Sales, Inventory, and Service activities, while remaining within the Store's Targeted Staffing Budget (FTE's).
¿      Establishes and maintains a supply of competent qualified On Lot and Off Lot Sub Let vendors available to support the needs of the cosmetic reconditioning zones.
¿      Ensures the control of the movement of vehicles to and from off lot vendors and ensures that sub let vendor invoices are correct and are handled expeditiously.
¿      Maintains the proper integrity of the physical layout of reconditioning zones.
¿      Supervise the daily activities of the Cosmetic Supervisor.
¿      Perform duties of Operations Manager in his/her absence.
