"This is my fourth Firebird, but my first Trans Am. This car has a 5.7 liter V-8 engine that puts out over 300 HP. Therefore, all parents should know that this type car is not for inexperienced drivers or children. I consider anyone under 25 years of age to be inexperienced and might fit into the children category. Of course, as an adult, you should apply your best judgement on a case-by-case basis. Let me just say this: this vehicle is so powerful as to be startling on occasion and even frightening in certain instances. This represents an inherent danger not only to the driver, but to other drivers in the vicinity as well. Now that my conscience is assuaged, my opinion is that this car is awesome! Just unbelievable performance coupled with striking looks gives this car an overall high value. It is a shame that GM decided to remove it from production. I waited a long time to purchase the Trans Am version, and now I wish I had not. If the car was still available for new purchase, I would be ready today, after having owned this one for six months."
