Most Money I ever threw away,

"In 2006, we purchased the 2006 Grand Touring edition with all the features. We paid over 34,000 for this car. Less than two weeks later we started having problems.
The dealer kept giving us the run around saying the thumping sound we heard was the tires needing more air and from the car sitting on the lot and it would work itself out. The car went back three times and each time an excuse but never a solution. Finally after a tire failure on a road trip they claimed the tires must have had something wrong, but since it was now over the tire warentee they could not help. It will also need an alignment blah blah blah... Ended up costing me almost 1,000.
At at 14,000 miles the transmission started jumping. Same story. For almost two years it went back and them saying nothing was wrong. Finally when I refused to leave, they took it for a drive and discovered the problem. Two weeks later I got the car back with a new transmission.
I went to clean the car after getting it home only to discover the passenger window will no longer go down, and the the passenger seat has come loose. No one ever even sits in that seat so I have no idea why. Also, the condensation tube has pluged again and backed up filling the front passenger area with aweful smelling water.
I have cars and trucks that I have kept for 10 - 12 years and put almost 200,000 on them and never had any of these problems. Mazda is nothing but cheap junk in my opinion. Stay away from these cars. I'm so disapointed."

Mazda 6,

"I just bought a 2009 Mazda 6 Grand Touring i, and and overall am quite happy with it. The car looks modern and attractive, is spacious, comfortable and economical on the highway. It also has many standard items that cost extra elswhere. My main complaint is in regards to the quality of the interior plastics, especially on the doors and the driver's side of the dashboard. The handbrake should also be leather, as it is on the steering wheel and gearlever. The glove compartment's handle is especially cheap and is a long reach from the driver's seat. The ergonomics can also do with some rethinking - the button controlling the average/current fuel consumption, miles to empty and clock is hidden behind the steering wheel and whoever placed the trunk release button next to it should be fired! Twice I opened the trunk when all I wanted to do was change the display. Also, why does Mazda not have the central locking lock the car automatically when it exceeds 5 or 8mph? The 2.5L 4 cylinder engine feels gruff when pulling away and sometimes underpowered but is economical. I'm averaging 26.5 mpg on my 87 miles roundtrip commute to work. Rearward vision is restricted, but that's a small price to pay for the sexy looks, and the blind spot warning light on the exterior rearview mirrors is a bonus. The automatic wipers and headlights work well and not having to fumble with a key to open/start the car when your hands are full of groceries or kids stuff is welcome. Overall I prefered the Mazda to the Accord/Altima/Fusion/Camry I compared it to, but would be even more of a fan if the quality was improved and the engine had a few more ponies under the hood!"

"I love my mazda6 sedan, i've had it for almost 2 years now, and i've thrown lots and lots of miles on it, i have everything you can think of on it, and its hot! i get decent gas milage about 22 miles or so, depending on my driving that day, i can get about 330 to the tank. so far my down falls on it have been the fact that i'm tall, and my friends are all tall, so i have to have the seat all the way back, and leaves no leg room in the back, so a child seat back there is perfect. but no one real tall. also that the strut bearrings are alaways dry so it makes really loud annoying noises and i have to keep wd40'ing them alot.
other than that, its perfect!!"
