"This vehicle was more than I expected when I first began my search for a new vehicle. My specific car has a very responsive engine, with smooth acceleration. It has a very smooth ride and great handling/steering. I love the auto-sensing moisture control windshield wipers that come on automatically whenever it starts to rain and automatically adjusts in speed based on the amount of rain that is falling.
The adaptive Xeon HID headlights that change direction as one turns, is invaluable especially when making turns on dark, unfamiliar streets. The lights are however, aimed a bit low on the roadway.
The navigational system is great and very user friendly. The audio has the built-in capability of being interfaced with satellite radio, but it would have been nice if Lexus had the Sirius/XM systems already installed as a part of this package and all that was needed was to have the system activated.
The leather seats with their adjustable warmers are great on the cold winter days and nights. They also have the seat air conditioning feature which could be invaluable on the hot summer Atlanta days.
I thought that it is great having outside air sensors installed in these vehicles that shut off the intake if the air has gases that are deemed harmful. This proves to an asset when one is directly behind a vehicle that is belching out lots of harmful fumes. The parking sensors (front and rear) in addition to the rear camera, are also valuable safety tools that came with my vehicle.
The highway noise is very low when driving on the interstate or surface streets in the Atlanta traffic. The fuel ecomony for this vehicle surpasses that of many similar size vehicles, and was one of the main reasons that I initially looked at this car.
In summary, to quote a friend of mine who is in the automotive repair business. He told me shortly after I purchased this vehicle, "Once you've driven a Lexus, you wouldn't want to drive anything else." Oh by the way, did I mention that he's a proud Lexus owner too?"
