"We had driven a Windstar for 128000 miles. It was a great vehicle. But, while still very driveable, we were concerned about the possibility of a breakdown at some very inconvenient time. So, we went to look for essentially the same vehicle with a couple of additional features. First, we wanted the 3rd row of seats to fold into the floor. We also sought operable windows in the sliding doors and then, finally, updated saftey features like side curtain airbags, anti lock brakes, backup sensors. Beyond that, we really only wanted what was a "mid level" set of options and features that would have been present in the 01 model year. Honda, Chrysler and Toyota all had excellent offerings, but all models that we saw were dressed up with an amazing set of features, very luxurious and elegant to be sure, but at much higher cost and with a basic vehicle quality that did not seem appreciably better than the Hyundai offering.
So, the Entourage was a very logical choice. Air conditioning works well. Stereo is pretty good. The vehicle has very good sound insulation, nice handling, excellent power, and a well thought out cabin. Things seem to be where they should be. My only complaint is that the driver's seat, though well padded and designed is difficult for me to adjust for perfect comfort. My wife, however, has no issue with the seat.
I understand that 08 is the last year for the Entourage. Pity. It's a great vehicle and a great value."
