Lincoln MKZ Surprises,

"The 2008 Lincoln MKZ is an entry level luxury car marketed against the BMW 3 series, Mercedes C-class, Cadillac CTS, Infinti G series, and similar cars. The MKZ only offers two drivetrain options, you have one engine option and either FWD or AWD. The interior options are on par with what you would expect to find available in all the cars in this segment.
My MKZ came fully loaded and only lacked Ford/Microsoft's SYNC system and AWD. It's full leather, power everything, sun roof, sat nav, and 6 disc in dash THX surround sound.
When compared to the Mercedes (my other choice) the Lincoln simply had the M-B beat with regards to "bang for the buck". My new Lincoln was several thousand dollars less than the C-class Mercedes I had compared, plus I was able to get a lease deal that better fit my budget.
Driving the Lincoln MKZ is probably the most pleasant surprise of my Lincoln experience. The MKZ is not a sport sedan but it can hold it's own when you toss it around a few twisty roads. It will exhibit moderate understeer, but that is to be expected from a FWD setup. Power is good, with the 3.5 liter V-6 rated at over 260 hp. The MKZ accelerates into traffic very easily and has a nicely resonating tone when the engine is pushed. But it's highway cruising where the MKZ really shines. Over taking is very easy and the power is easily tapped when you need to get around slower traffic. You can drive for hours and the seats just cradle you in comfort. Much more supportive than the C-class seats I've sat in.
Public perception has surprised me greatly as well. While the MKZ maybe a subtle and unassuming car to look at, I've received numerous complements on just how attractive the car is in person. The style is classic subtle luxury. Test drive a MKZ and you may find yourself just as surprised as I've been."
