2009 NISSAN VERSA
Great car for the price,

"Nissan sure knows how to get a lot out of a little! I got a 2009 Versa hatchback with the 1.8L straight-four and 6-speed manual transmission. Despite the fact that it gets around 30 mpg, it's still relatively fast and fun to drive. It's also roomy for a small car: I'm a 6'2", 225-lb. man and I have no trouble or discomfort at all. There are only a few drawbacks to this car. The blind spots, diagonally to the rear both right and left, seem a little large and you have to be very careful backing up. Also, the front defroster is completely ineffective unless the A/C is activated. Not a problem for me, but there are some Versas out there that are not equipped with A/C, so you might want to take that into consideration. Also, although this car is much faster than its direct competitors (i.e. Honda Fit, Toyota Yaris, etc.), It's not truly a "fast car" by conventional standards. If you want true speed for this kind of money, the mid-2000s Nissan 350Z might be up your alley. Ultimately, I'm completely satisfied with this car. I'm working my way through college, and the Nissan Versa fits my needs perfectly."

Nissan
2009 NISSAN VERSA
Not bad at all!,

Very impressed!
from Central FL
"Bought a 2009 Nissan Versa S Hatchback after looking at several hatchbacks from other makes (with auto, power option, cruise). The car will be used to make several trips to the GA mountains every year. Sold my Nissan truck seeking better mileage. I thought going small would mean less comfort and space, man was I wrong! This car is big inside, the rear seat space is amazing. Seats are very comfortable for a 9+ hour ride and the overall ride is soft and precise. Motor purrs right along at 70 to 80 mph with no whining noises or feeling topped out. Everything that it does, it does good including fuel mileage (getting about 35 mpg's with less than 2,000 miles on the odometer). Cargo space is good and if you flip the rear seats, it is huge. Engine has enough power to accelerate well, to pass with confidence, to quickly merge and go up steep mountains. Totally impressed by this car and very glad I got it."

2009 NISSAN VERSA
You get what you expect.,

"I got my 2009 Nissan Versa as part of the Cash For Clunkers program earlier this year. I had an old 94 Lexus that was on its last legs, and wanted to get a car that was smaller and more fuel efficient, yet maintained most of the quality I was used to. I knew going into it that this little 4 cylinder CVT wasn't going to be as zippy as my big 6 cylinder, but I am very impressed with its performance. Getting used to the general lack of shifting and semi-high RPMs that the car can generate took getting used to, but if you need to get off to a quick start, this car can definitely do it.
The interior room is one of the most impressive features. I'm 6'4" and I can set the driver seat to a comfortable position and still get in the seat right behind it without my knee's hitting the seat in front of me. The styling on the inside is generally what you would expect without being over the top. My only complaint is that the driver and front passenger doors have a bin on the bottom of them that is flush with the seat when the door is closed, and I have a tendency to kick it with my foot when getting out. So be prepared to clean it off a lot if you're tall like I am.
The gas mileage has, so far, been exactly as advertised, averaging about 28 city, and 35-37 highway. I should point out that I only have a little over 3000 miles on it, so this should actually improve a little with more mileage and oil changes.
Final words, great car for the price! Not gonna pick up girls with it, but you probably knew that going into it."
