1. Do you offer a vehicle warranty or extended service plan?

Every CarMax used car comes with a Limited 30-Day Warranty (60-Day in CT, 90-Day in MA and NY)*. You can also purchase a MaxCare extended service plan for your car.

2. What does the MaxCare® extended service plan cover?

MaxCare tells you upfront what is covered and what isn’t. It includes comprehensive coverage for your engine, transmission and drive axle, steering, front suspension, brakes, electrical system, electronic system, air conditioning, cooling system, interior, and assemblies and controls. MaxCare also includes rental reimbursement if your car is kept overnight for a covered repair and towing (see your contract for your towing coverage terms).

3. How much do you charge for the MaxCare extended service plan?

Because of differences in makes, models, mileage, and classes of vehicles, we are unable to publish extended service plan prices on the internet. Call the store nearest you for more information.

5. Do you provide warranty/service plan work?

We offer a Limited 30-Day Warranty (60-Day in CT, 90-Day in MA and NY)* on all our used cars, and we can provide warranty work on all makes and models. MaxCare extended service plans are also available for most of our vehicles. All warranty work covered by the Limited 30-Day Warranty (60-Day in CT, 90-Day in MA and NY)* or one of our MaxCare extended service plans can be completed through the service department at any CarMax location. Our new car locations can provide manufacturer's warranty work on the brands we sell.
