CarMax has an opening for a part-time Management Assistant to work 20-30 hours/week.

A Management Assistant's primary responsibility is to perform his or her duties in a way that exceeds the expectations of internal and external customers. As a member of the CarMax team, the Management Assistant's goal is to assist store management in creating both a superior customer shopping experience for our external customers & providing a superior work environment for our employees.

Responsibilities include:

~      Planning and execution of store events such as communications meetings, orientation for new associates, and recruiting efforts such as job fairs.
~      Coordinating multiple phases of the hiring process including ad placement, scheduling interviews, administering testing, and submitting and maintaining required prehire information.
~      Administering orientation for new hires and tracking completion of training quizzes.
~      Entering new hire information, assisting with payroll processing, researching payroll discrepancies and tracking bonus programs using VIPER/HR Handler.
~      Assisting store management with administrative responsibilities including, but not limited to, creating and updating spreadsheets in Excel for Windows, developing letters and memos using Microsoft Word for Windows, creating and printing system reports, filing, and publishing of store calendars and sales team rosters.
~      Ordering office supplies, processing accounts payable, maintaining phones, ordering business cards, and issuing proximity cards.
~      Maintaining, auditing and submitting Short-Term Disability, Worker's Compensation, I-9, Travel and Expense, OSHA and Sales Training records.

Position requires above average proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word for Windows and the ability to learn new software applications or databases as they are introduced. Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multi task in a fast paced work environment. Must be able to work flexible hours, which include weekends, evenings, and holidays. Approved CarMax attire must be worn at all times for this position.

The Reconditioning Associate I (Satellite) works as part of a reconditioning team in Satellite Flow locations. This team based system requires associates to produce vehicles using a set of standardized activities.

Under general supervision, responsible for interior cleaning/vacuuming, and exterior cleaning of CarMax vehicles. Also responsible for Final Quality Inspections of CarMax vehicles.

Additional responsibilities include daily maintenance and security of display areas and work in progress zones, prepping vehicles for delivery, securing and receiving vehicles that are shipped to CarMax, facility cleanliness, and paint touch up, wet sanding and buffing of CarMax vehicles.

Must have completed CarMax training in all functional areas of the inventory process and must currently meet the Reconditioning Associate performance standards. Excellent customer service skills and the ability to perform mulitple duties in a fast paced enviornment required.
