1. Why should I register for MyCarMax?
Registering for MyCarMax saves you time whenever you visit carmax.com®. It allows you to create, name, and save multiple searches, so they’ll be at your fingertips as soon as you log in. You can also use MyCarMax to save and compare all the vehicles you’re considering.
2. How long can I save my searches?
Your saved searches will remain on MyCarMax until you decide to delete them.
3. Why do you need my email address?
Your email address is only used to identify you on MyCarMax. We will not send you any emails unless you request information from us. We do not sell any email addresses to third parties. Read our privacy policy.
4. One of my saved cars disappeared. Where did it go?
Our cars sell quickly. If a car is sold or becomes unavailable, it will remain in your MyFavorites list, but will be marked as Unavailable. After five days, the sold car will no longer appear.
5. I forgot my password. What do I do?
Select the "Sign In" option from the top of any page, then click on "Forgot Password" and enter your email address. We'll send you a new, temporary password with instructions on how to change it.
6. Why do I have to sign in every time I visit?
For security reasons, you are logged out automatically when you leave carmax.com. To automatically sign back in, make sure you have cookies enabled in your browser, and check the "Remember me" box when you sign in. Next time you visit, we’ll automatically recognize you.
7. How do I contact someone at CarMax?
