The CarMax Foundation was established in 2003 to support the communities where our Associates live and work. Over the past several years, we've accomplished our goal by providing volunteers, matching gifts, and grants to worthy nonprofit organizations.

Richmond Giving Program - NEW APPLICATION PROCESS
The CarMax Foundation focuses on the communities where our Associates live and work, and our hometown is no exception! This year, the Foundation is revising its application process to include letters of intent.
In order to be considered for support, all organizations must submit a letter of intent by OCTOBER 15. Letters must include specific information on both the nonprofit and program needing support. (For full list of requirements, please click “About the CarMax Foundation” and visit the grants section.)
The Foundation will review letters of intent and request full proposals from select nonprofits during the first of the year. Not all organizations will be invited to apply.
