Summer’s lazy days are over, and suddenly it’s fall time, which means busier schedules for everyone. With extra activities and all that driving, it can be tough to keep the car organized and clean. Here are some tips to help make it easier:
Contain the trash: Always battling stray napkins, wrappers, and other trash? A plastic cereal container in your car can serve as a great portable trashcan for these kind of small items. Simply snap it shut to eliminate odors, and empty it out when you make stops to fill up at the gas station. Easy!
Ensure important documents are at hand: The days of fumbling in your glove box for important documents are over. Use labeled folders, a recipe folio, or a bill-keeper to help keep your vehicle’s documents organized!
Keep needed items within reach: Inexpensive desk chair-back caddies work great to hold items you need to keep with you. Fill them up with things like your first-aid kit, snacks, paper towels, sunscreen, hand sanitizers, and whatever else you’d like to have handy. And just hang them on your seatbacks for easy access!
Control the toys: If you have kids, then you know that toys, crayons, and coloring books can quickly overwhelm your car’s interior. Storing them in soft pouches or clear cosmetic bags will allow you to slip them into your seatback pockets, saving you some much needed foot-room.
Divide up trunk space: Is the trunk a mess? Adjustable drawer dividers or pop-out mesh laundry bags can be easily placed to hold sports equipment, stow emergency supplies, or even to help transport groceries without a mess.
