2009 Acura MDXM. T. Sweger - Charlottesville, VA04/29/2016
Honda/Acura produces some of the most reliable vehicles you can buy. Like our 2004 Acura RSX Type-S, the 2009 MDX is low maintenance and extremely reliable. The MDX AWD handles all types of weather (rain, snow, etc.) with comfort and style. On a recent road trip from Virginia to Florida, the MDX was great! It was like floating down the highway in a plush, comfy chair. Smooth and quiet with all the creature comforts and an excellent sound system too.
Test drove everything but kept coming back to the MDX for it's 3 seat option, style, cabin. I had a 2001 MDX and got 212K without the best maintenance. These SUV's are ridiculous in the snow. In New England was snowed in at 4 feet of snow and plowed out of the garage like I was driving on the beach. Very comfortable ride, super stylish best looking truck on the market. Very well made can take long trips or just around town. Tech package is amazing. Kids love the DVD. Night driving is great perfect visibility for those darks roads. Expect to keep for at least 10 years. Wish it could last forever.
I have been in a car for 15+ years and I wanted a midsize SUV. The MDX is great! It has 7 seats so if friends of my kids need a ride, I can do it! Plenty of room with the 3rd row seats down. Electric tailgate is very convenient. It has all the gadgets: bluetooth, navigation, satellite radaio, heated seats, rear air. My sunroof is always open! It drives like it wants to be a race car, firm with an attitude. It's size and weight brings it back to reality, but it still performs admirably! My only complaint, it averages 15mpg city, 20mpg highway. If that's too thristy for you, look elsewhere. Otherwise, the value is high with the MDX! And they are easy to find as Honda/Acura does an excellent job minimizing options/trim levels. Good luck!
The Acura MDX, which entered the market in 2001, was designed to address the need for a high-performance people-mover with an abundance of luxury features. Although the MDX replaced Acura’s SLX, its build was actually based on the popular Honda Pilot. In true Acura style, this newly-developed SUV was infused with the highest-quality comfort and performance features available.
