I've put more than 250,000 miles on three Accords and feel that Honda builds perhaps the most reliable and best value car available. But as nice as is the Accord LX, it pales in comparison with the Acura TL. The fit and finish as well as overall comfort level of the TL far surpasses the Accord. The Navigation system and the sound system are amazing. This is no mere GPS gadget, it is a fully integrated system that brings driving into the 21st century. The heated seats are a real bonus on cold mornings, too. I can't imagine any car being more comfortable or better handling than the TL. It's no surprise that Acura is a Honda product.
Great car at an excellent price. Car has all the features that I wanted and additional features that make driving enjoyable.
I bought my Acura in 2005 after returning from a deployment with the U.S. Navy. I absolutely love the car and I believe that Acura has always made vehicles that were way ahead of their time. I have about 105,000 miles on the vehicle and I have never had any major problems outside of the regular maintenance, i.e., tires, brakes, etc. The transmission did go out on my vehicle about 2 months ago but it thankfully it was covered by a warranty. I did read that there were some recalls a few years back with problems with that particular models transmission. Outside of that the amenities in the car, leather, power seats, bose radio, heated mirror, auto down windows, and rear dimming mirror I absolutely love. The car after all this time and miles being driven from Virginia to Chicago still has a wonderful ride that even my friends will sometimes get in and comment on. They can't tell if it's a 2002 or a 2008. It is just that comparable to newer model cars. The car accelerates exceptionally and i've kept the oil changes up regularly as well as replaced the paper filter with a K&N air filter.
