LOVE this car! I'm a 57 year old female who loves to drive. I always drove "The Family Car" the sedan, mini van, SUV, full size van, then the truck. I loved all of those vehicles, but NOW that I am a happy single woman, my auto technician son helped me pick a "bucket list" performance car. I got a pretty blue Audi A3, my dream car is a Mustang, but I wanted something with better gas mileage than the Mustang gets. The Audi has been fantastic! Fun, economical, pretty, Turbo, sport mode and manual shift make it a really fun ride off the beaten path on winedy hilly mountain roads. The moon roof is awesome, sound system great! My only complaint is getting in and out, it's low to the ground, but very roomy and so comfortable one you are in. I'm pretty flexible and fit, but sometimes when I have the handbag, work stuff, or misc things to carry, it's not as easy to get in and out of as a larger more "boring' sedan type vehicle. LOVE my Audi!
I was fortunate enough to buy the 06 model 3.2S line model which has every possible accessory inc. navigation and Bluetooth connectivity in a beautiful vibrant aqua metallic blue. After six years this car is still turning heads. The design is elegant and understated (inside and out), I've lost count of amount of times I have returned to the car and and found an admirer circling the car and peering through the windows. I love the subtle way this vehicle is functional for almost every situation from smooth and fast freeway cruising to nimble urban maneuvers (its compact size fits into the tightest of spaces). It even handles brilliantly off-road and in winter conditions due to its 4WD Quattro system. Additionally the service received from my local Audi dealer has been exceptional.
Fun, exciting car to drive. Great look, superb engine. Some annoying features are the reclining feature on the driver and passenger seats. A manual crank is not user friendly. Also the center console does not feel ergonomically friendly. The lack of an auxiliary port for a 2007 car is a little behind the times. The AC unit is less intuitive than most cars. The leg room in back seat is not child friendly, as most wagon-type cars should be. The plastic covers on the back of driver and passenger seats are not fastened securely, and pop off easily.
