This is one super smooth ride. We love the way it handles in bad driving conditions. It has an easy to use navigation system, as well as swanky cabin appointments, super comfortable, adjustable, heated, leather seats and ample rear leg room for the back seat passengers. The extras we weren't expecting have quickly become much appreciated and utilized - the heated steering wheel, driver's side assist, rear view camera to help when backing up, light sensitive side view mirrors, and oh so quiet ride. We love it!
I owned this car for less than a month and drove it three times putting just 210 miles after I purchased it used with 29,000 miles; it still has10 mo / 20,000 MFG warranty remaining on it. On my third trip going back to the Dealership to pickup my license plate, I got an EPC error light with an engine icon displayed on the dashboard; the car went from 70mph to 0 in less that three minutes, giving me enough time to exit and barely made it to a Seven 11 gas station where it died just as I pulled into a parking spot. It will not start when pressing the start button, it cranks but failed to start. I had it towed to the Dealership and it is still there after three days, they said that there are several issues, crank sensor, catalytic con.. etc,
This is an Audi A6 with a CVT transmission, not a quattro. There is a big difference between these two trannys. The CVT is noiser, and more quirky. It doesn't feel at all like normal FWD or quattro transmissions. It's disconcerting to drive this car with this tranny. While the CVT does get good gas mileage, the "feeling" is not one of confidence. The tranny sometimes slams into gear, almost like it's slipping. Without a torque converter, the car is almost too quick off the line, especially in turns and corners. I would not recommend a CVT tranny to anyone buying a car.
