2013 BMW 335Deborah Moreno - Whittier, CA05/18/2016
Luxurious fun! I never considered BMWs because of the price. However, previously owned made it affordable. I had no idea just how much fun these cars are to drive. Power galore and just the most luxurious and comfortable car. The top goes up and down so easily without much wind when driving, that I go home with the top down 90% of the time, versus 10% with my previous 2 convertibles.
335is Quality and performance
2011 BMW 335Dustin Bell - Ventura, CA04/21/2016
I recommend the 335is. The "is" model has a bit lower stance with M suspension, the 19" 313 wheels are some of the best stock wheels in my opinion, and the 335is has a exhaust that is exclusive to that model only. It has a nice gargle when you let off the throttle and is quite throaty. I wanted a manual transmission but after test driving the dual clutch, the choice was easy. The DCT is very much a manual transmission with a auto option in my opinion. Yes you don't have a clutch that you as the driver regulate but the shifts with the DCT are lightening fast and hit hard. This car may not be a e92 M3 but don't be fooled, its a wolf in sheep's clothing making almost 100ftlbs more torque while in overboost. Do yourself favor and get a 335is.
Best cars I've owned
2012 BMW 335MARTY E - Bay Area, CA04/11/2017
I've owned several E92 3 series and they're great cars. When buying one I really recommend getting a full maintenance warranty, not because they're unreliable (quite the opposite in fact), but because these are performance-built cars with turbo high-compression engines that require a bit more TLC than your average daily driver so sometimes even small issues can add up really quickly.
That's the trade-off when buying a "driver's car" with the best suspensions and transmissions in the industry next to Porsche. The N55 engine is also a multiple Engine of the Year Award recipient and the '11-'13 models are the last years BMW still used hydraulic steering before swapping to electronic. They're some of the best cars BMW has ever produced.
Luxury cars come in all shapes and sizes, but they are all expected to look good and perform well. One advantage of buying a used luxury car is that you get the luxury look-and-feel that you want at a more affordable price.
