Indeed the Ultimate Driving Machine

This is my first BMW and coming from Acura and Lexus I was a bit hesitant in the beginning about getting this car (due to all negative comments regarding BMW reliability), until the day I drove it. Wow! The driving experience is awesome! Power delivery is smooth and controlled. i had to keep looking at the speedometer to maintain the speed at reasonable limits (it is very easy to get to reach a 100 mph on the freeways if you don't watch out). Steering feel is like no other. What I read in magazines is true; one really feels connected to the road. This is indeed the ultimate driving machine. My only complaints are regarding the Comfort Access feature. The sensors in the car do not seem to detect the presence of the remote key fob in my pocket all the time, so some of the locks that are supposed to open automatically do not work as advertised, especially when opening the trunk. I often have to reach into my pocket so I can click on the trunk button on the remote to open the trunk. My Lexus IS350 never had an issue with the electronics. This does not seem to be the strong suit of this BMW. This is not a major issue however, since I don't go into the trunk every day. All and all, this is great car, a great engine with a great driving feel. I am very happy with the car. I find myself looking for excuses to drive it. I look forward to go to work every day just so I can drive it, sick huh?

335i Review

I was debating on the 335i and a 328xi, both with manual transmissions, and both in coupe form. I ended up going with the 335i and I'm extremely happy that I did. The 335i has twin turbos where the 328 is naturally aspirated. The added power and performance were night and day when I test drove the respective cars. I would recommend the 335 over the 328 to anyone. Another thing to note about the BMW vs. most other models is the "fit and finish" difference. With the BMWs (this is my second one) everything seems to be a little better made and a little better quality. The gaps are tighter, the design is more refined, and they (the BMW engineers/car designers) seem to pay attention to the little things. I love the BMW brand and I don't foresee myself driving another brand for a long time, if ever.

Wonderful car

This is my first BMW and I could not have been happier about my choice. My previous car was a 2003 Jetta manual with 1.8 liter turbo and the 335i is clearly in a different class. Performance is outstanding - not only brute acceleration/torque but also cornering characteristics. This car does not budge when taking a corner. I have the sports package and would recommend this anyone. The throaty growl of motor after pushing the start button will convince you that this car is ready to go and have some fun. Sports package seats hug the driver and passenger. Compared to my Jetta, adults fit quite comfortably in the back. Tire noise on the Bridgestone 18 inch run flats is minimal. I did notice a big difference when driving a 328 where run flats translated quite a bit of road noise into the cabin (the 328 was a loaner car when getting the fuel pump recall service). I am very pleased with my choice.
