My rep was great. He really did want the best for us. Couldnt be happier!
The 2008 5 series BMW is a remarkable vehicle and worth the tilte of "The Ultimate Driving Machine", but there is alot of things going on with this car that must be monitored closely. It is always a good idea to buy the extended warranty on any car, but especially this one. The many systems and comfort features that make the car what it is, can fail and in turn make other systems fail. The on-board computer does a good job of keeping you informed of maintenance schedules and system failures, but if you truly want to drive a used 5 series BMW, comfortably and with peace of mind, it is essential that maintenance be done regularly and proactively. Do not cut corners on maintenance and do not allow anyone other than qualified BMW technicians to troubleshoot your car. BMW's can last well into the 3-400,000 and more mile range and the car truly is a joy to drive, but you get out of it what you put in. I would reccomend this car to anyone who can afford to maintain it, it is a very choice vehicle and I am positive I made the right choice.
I must admit, I had never driven a BMW before I started looking for one on a whim, thinking if I didn't like it I would move on. I have been driving a American made small SUV and before that a Korean made minivan. Driving a BMW after driving those vehicles there was no comparison - I couldn't believe it. I'm not saying those other vehicles were not good, gosh no, just not built with luxury in mind, comfort, and enough power to pull out into traffic. The car is gorgeous, paint sparkles, everything is wonderful. The BMW I purchased was well priced, well cared for, and moderate miles. Thus far I love driving it, and have converted my wife to a BMW lover. I never knew a car could be so smooth, handle like a dream, and make driving FUN again. Thanks BMW!
