Most people buy a BMW with performance in mind. Well I feel that I got both of performance and luxury. The 535XI is rocket fast. Twin turbos result in imperceptible lag time when you punch it. I have not been able to squeel/spin/lose it because of the computer controlled traction and active sway stablelization . I love what sounds like F1 shifting with the 6 speed auto under spirited acceleration.
I loved picking up the value of someone's 4year lease ending. I paid half the price of a new model and Carmax charges consistently in my area $1000-$1500 less than BMW dealers do for used BMWs.
Nice ride? Yep, you know that just listening to my 21yr old exclaiming its virtues as if it was his own car.

After a month of driving it the car is still a winner. I have not had any issues and it has been great fun to drive. I especially like the font seats. I look forward to making a road trip in the car to really test out the seats. Of course, the acceleration and handling are as I expected them to be (very good).
On the downside, I am concerned about the drivers front crash test results. Only achieving three stars leaves me with lingering doubts about the safety of the car for the driver (i.e. me).

All I can say is wow what a car. I love it. Having had many nice cars in the past driving the 535i is far and away the best car I have owned!
