The car is sleek and fun to drive and is getting about 25mpg, which I think is pretty good. I like the features in the car and it has been a pleasure to own.
I do currently have it in for warranty work and I guess they found a transmission leak as well as an oil leak, which is unnerving at 22k miles, but they are covering it all and gave me a new X5 as a loaner while they fix it... so I would say just be sure to get the extended warranty.
Not your E28 or E39

The handling is just not what it should be. I am a tried and true 5 series owner and love the balance that used to be there. It just seems too big and lacks the legendary handling, even with the sports package and a manual transmission. The 2011 has very strange placements of interior items - this did change for the better later on. Don't get me wrong - this has incredible power and ease of use. It is just not the great drive it used to be. Get a 428 or a 435 Gran Coupe instead.

The style, ride comfort and great handling, the power, the incredible mileage I get with eco-boost, the reliability, and the quality craftmanship of the interior and exterior are beyond compare. Of the fifteen cars I have owned in the last 30+ years, this is the best.
