Most people buy a BMW with performance in mind. Well I feel that I got both of performance and luxury. The 535XI is rocket fast. Twin turbos result in imperceptible lag time when you punch it. I have not been able to squeel/spin/lose it because of the computer controlled traction and active sway stablelization . I love what sounds like F1 shifting with the 6 speed auto under spirited acceleration. I loved picking up the value of someone's 4year lease ending. I paid half the price of a new model and Carmax charges consistently in my area $1000-$1500 less than BMW dealers do for used BMWs. Nice ride? Yep, you know that just listening to my 21yr old exclaiming its virtues as if it was his own car.
Because it was like new. I like that the prices are set and there isn't any need for negotiating and are all ready to go.
I've been driving this car for a little over a year and it still excites me. With the upgraded seats it's comfortable for the driver and the passengers alike. There is ample room in the back seat for three ordinarily sized adults. Performance wise, it's a marvel. It does whatever you ask it to do, depress the accelerator and it goes, it will go as fast as you want it to, and quickly too. It handles like a dream. The ride is smooth and the interior is quiet. Reviewers said the I-Drive was difficult to learn and operate, nothing is further from the truth. It's intuitive and easy to operate. One complaint I do have is that the back up sensors are slow to activate and most times I have negotiated my way out of a tight parking space before the sensors even start working. Once you have parked and placed the car in park, the sensor does not stop beeping. Even the back up sensor in my Ford works better. That was an expensive option, and I am disappointed that it doesn't work better. All in all this vehicle is top of the line!
