Reviews for 2008 BMW 535
BMW 535i review
I reviewed the whole line of used luxury performance cars over a year period... tested M5, 550, 535, m35, m45, a6. The 535 has the best gas mileage, best build quality, M5 has best performance and best handling but terrible gas and maintenance will be expensive. The only downside of the 535 is that it does not have cooling seats which is a feature I love about the Infiniti. 550 is nice looking with the sport package but is a heavier car plus worse gas mileage. Used Audi couldn't compete. 535 rear room is more cramped than the Infiniti, but can fit 2 carseats and good for adults for quick trips. Overall it's the best bang for your buck...choose features carefully, everything on BMW is extra so do your research on what you want in your car... Nav, heated seats, sport suspension, paddle shifters etc etc. If you like driving and handling but you need a good overall luxury car that isn't a race car all the time... the 535 is awesome IMO.
Performance and Economy in a Unique Package
I am an admitted BMW devotee, but when the E60 model first arrived in 2004, I was skeptical about the direction of the company. At the time, I was the owner of an E39 530i. I thought it was the best car I would ever own. I was wrong...the 2008 535i, while larger and much more complex, still clings to the BMW virtue of favoring performance and responsiveness over luxury. Not to say that this isn't a luxury vehicle...in fact, the seats are the most comfortable of any car I've ever been in, period. But the E60 535i is special. It is rocket-ship fast (especially with the sport-automatic transmission) and devours twisty roads. It absorbs road imperfections with a muted, well-damped, and distant thump-thump. My previous car, a 2006 E90 330i, would encounter the same imperfections with a harsh body-jarring crash. The best part is that it does all this while returning great fuel economy and an extensive warranty & maintenance program. This model has been plagued by a bad reputation due to multiple failures of the fuel delivery system and you should be sure to get the service history of the car you are considering. If the new and updated high pressure fuel pump and injectors (as well as software update) that were part of a wide recall have been installed, you should feel confident that your car will be trouble free. Highly recommend this car with the Sport Package, Premium Package, and Sport-Auto Transmission.
got to pay to play
First the 535i Sport is a very fun car to drive the turbo really kicks in to the point that it feels this car has more than 300HP. With that being said not that I have had any problems yet but after doing more reading on the car since I got it there is a whole lot of issues that comes along with this car so buy the extended warranty that is a Major must! Also for the price of this car the sound system is poor at best you would feel buying this type of car that it should at least come with a very good system this is not the case. Over all if you person that likes to drive like your in a video game this is the car for you very sporty and monster on the hwy
