Reviews for 2008 BMW 535
I just got my money back on a 2009 535i that I owned for only two weeks, and it was in the shop the entire time. Our car only had 15000 miles on it and I did not even run one tank of gas through it. The twin turbo engine in these cars have serious issues and BMW knows it, that's why they don't build this engine anymore. The high pressure fuel pump and fuel delivery systems are poorly designed. If you have a brain in your head do not buy any cars built by BMW that have the N54 twin turbo engine. Ours messed up on the second day of ownership and stayed in the shop for two weeks, I guess it is still there BMW service is lousy, instead of fixing the problem they try to re-program the cars and it does not work. There is a class action lawsuit currently filed in California against BMW North America concerning the engine in these cars and other models BMW builds with this engine. Don't believe me Google it. Do not buy this car!
the car is very easy to drive. It handles well on the road and I get good gas mileage as well. It was very clean and well kept too. I would recommend this car to anyone. If I could afford a 2012 or 2013 I would in a heart beat. Excellent car. It looks great, which makes me look even better too...... : )
2008 BMW 535xi wagon
Have owned and driven many cars in my lifetime. None come close to the BMW. I like the space of the 5 series. I'm of average height and it's comfortable. Handling is superb on straightaways and in corners. Acceleration is remarkable. I've had 3 series, 5 series, M3s, X5s and overall, the 5 series is a wonderful blend of all. The 535xi wagon as the space and the power as well as the versatility of the wagon. And don't think that because it's a wagon, it won't get up and go. The same quick acceleration that you get accustomed to in other BMWs is right here in the wagon.
