This car is awesome! It was my fiance's pick, but I have fallen in love with it, too. Pros: The ride is so smooth, it's hard to feel how fast the car is going without constantly checking the speedometer. Sound system is very good, and there's actually more trunk space than I thought there would be. Interior is very sleek and well designed and the front seats are very roomy - and very posh. 3 driver seat memory settings are easy to set, and the leather seems to have been maintained pretty well by the previous owner. This car definitely turns heads and receives countless compliments. Cons: Setting the car's computer is a little complicated, but my fiance has figured it all out. There's no point to having a backseat, because, even if the driver is under 5'3", there is not enough room in the back seat for anyone except a small child (or a sideways-sitting, law breaking adult). Only drawback to the dash is the fact that the sight lines to the turn signal indicators are covered by the thick steering wheel (both I at 5'6" and my fiance at 6'2" have the same problem). The turn signal bar only requires a very light touch, so there have been a few times that I accidentally drovee a few blocks without realizing it. The GPS system control is pretty outdated - no touch screen, just a push knob that takes a while to input addresses. The convertible top seems to wear at the joints - might have been strained by weather in it's previous owner's location.
The quality of this car is amazing. Attention to details is why BMW customers come back
This car handles like a dream. It has the best brakes I have ever seen. The steering actually responds to the brakes. Most other cars will loose their direction when you slam on the brakes and so you have to compensate by steering. With this car, slam on the brakes and the car does not change its direction. This is huge not only for safety but also performance because it enables you to drive the car while the car maintains its own control. The car's default setting is for a luxury ride. The transmission can be switched to sport mode with the gear shift to pass other cars. Or both the transmission and the motor can be switched to sport mode with the sport button for best overall performance. This car's performance in sport mode just gets better whereas some other cars tend to get squirrelly. Why drive those other cars in sport mode if they sacrifice control for speed? This car makes no such sacrifices. Having said that, normal mode performance is more than adequate for daily driving. I drive it sport mode just to have more fun with it. The moon roof is so large that it's like having a convertible without the problems of a convertible. The trunk is huge. The back seats are comfortable and they provide enough leg space for all but the tallest people. You can feel the quality in this car. It's built to last with systems that monitor their own quality control. Some cars will tell you that they need service but they won't provide any details. This car tells you exactly what service is necessary and when for many of its sytems, not just the engine. This car always turns heads and never fails to impress. I give it 5 out of 5 stars in all categories except value for the money. But I don't think anyone buys a BMW because its cheap. You're going to have to pay some premium for a car like this.
