My husband and I researched used luxary cars for months and test drove a few. We finally decided on the BMW 7 series and we have not been dissapointed. We were able to find a used 2008 BMW 750Li with less than 34K miles at a resonable price. The car is in excellent condition. The interior is so comfortable and roomy. There are so many features that just has me in love with the car; from the rear sunshades to the park assist. Last but not least, is the power and smoothness of the ride. It is truly, the Ultimate Driving Machine!
I have previously driven large SUVs, but have always loved the style of BMWs. Finally, I broke down and bought a 2008 750Li. Overall I love the car. The interior/exterior design and features are more than I expected. Considering this is BMW's flagship sedan, I would warn potential buyers of some quirks. (1) The navigation system is such a hassle. It really should be a touch screen! I just use my iPhone. (2) The brakes make noise. I had BMW inspect them and they are nearly new, but the noise sounds awful. I know this sounds really picky, but it is annoying. I contemplated buying a Range Rover and have second thoughts from time to time. Despite its flaws, I do love the car. The 7 series is a beautiful vehicle and does turn heads.
The BMW 7 series has a very smooth and quiet ride. The interior is well equiped and most controls are conveniently located. There is an abundance of room in the rear and it is almost like riding in the back of a limo. The driver's seat massager is also a nice option for long trips. Road noise is almost non-existent even on the roughest of surfaces. The 4.8 liter V-8 provides plenty of horsepower to make the driving experience smooth when necessary and exhilerating when you want the extra power. If there is a drawback, it is the iDrive control system. Using the iDrive control is almost clumsy - a touch screen display would be a much better option for audio and navigation controls. Using the menus is also a bit difficult and requires far too much interaction. The navigation (directions) display in the dash is a great feature and it allows the driver to view turn by turn directions without getting too distracted. The 7-series is a true luxury sedan in every sense.
