Great handling and performance with usable back seats and trunk space.
The greatest car... in the WORLD
2011 BMW M3Andrew Morrow - Denver, CO10/03/2016
The E90 M3 is the greatest sports sedan in the world. Tons of power from a truly beautiful V8 engine. The exhaust note goes from a throaty growl at low revs to an insane, mind-erasing scream at redline. Despite the bulges in the fenders and hood, the car blends into the crowd - until you open up the throttle. The M-DCT transmission is a little lumpy when cold and a bit awkward at very low speeds, but the upshifts are brutally fast and the rev-matched downshifts plaster a grin on your face.
Make no mistake: this is NOT a "luxury car" like a base 3 series. The suspension is extremely stiff, especially with the competition package. But if you want the fastest, hardest, craziest, lap-record-setting 4-person car that money can buy, get an M3.

This is the last of the BMW normally aspirated 8 cylinder motors. The stratospheric rev ability of this motor is really what defines the e92 M3. It truly is a racecar for the street that has immense everyday drivability. It turns better, brakes harder, accelerates stronger, tracks truer, and rides smoother than anything else in its class. It's a fine automobile, and an instant classic.
