Great in snow, sporty, fun to drive, extra large sunroof, great visibility from back-window, good for hauling mulch and other things for my yard, easy access for the dogs to hop inside, comfortable heated leather sports seats. Bought a 2010 Lexus RX350 a month ago. The Lexus doesn't come close to the BMW and I'm definitely regretting the change.

Transmission: Automatic Color:White Interior Color: Black Average Vehicle Review: (0 reviews) Super versatile vehicle that can tow trailers, load bikes/kayaks/canoe on roof, seats fold down to fit tons of stuff in the vehicle. And when you're not pushing the X3 by transporting things, you can get anywhere in absolute comfort and plenty of amenities on the way. You'll never get stuck in the snow or ice with the killer traction control and AWD - I've hooked up tow chains and pulled other AWD SUVs out of the snow. If you want a comfortable, capable, and reliable SUV that can handle everything and look good doing it, this is it. And in addition to all that, it's a BMW so it drives like a beast...

Transmission: Automatic Color:Brown Interior Color: Tan Average Vehicle Review: (5 reviews) At 6' 5" tall it's not easy to find a vehicle I'm comfortable in. The X3 is an exception. There's plenty of leg and hip room and the seat adjusts enough to make it very comfortable for long trips. The gear select is odd and takes some getting used to, Consumer Reports even mentions it, but the rest of the electronics are easy to use. It's been a great car/SUV/crossover so far.

Transmission: Automatic Color:White Interior Color: Brown Average Vehicle Review: (5 reviews) In shopping for a new vehicle we looked at mostly sedans. When we found the BMW X3 cheaper than most sedans with more room it seemed like a no brainer. The build quality is excellent. The ride is smooth. The X3 is fun to drive and the BMW heritage behind it. One of the most impressive sound systems from the factory I have heard. I have had many vehicles with premium sound systems and this one by far is top of my list. Great vehicle from ride to build quiality to available options.

Transmission: Automatic Color:Black Interior Color: Black Average Vehicle Review: (5 reviews) The 2007 X3 is a tidy package that stands out in the luxury midsize SUV class, a formidable opponent to the Acura MDX among others. It promises reasonable fuel efficiency, an upgraded engine, satisfactory passenger space, legendary handling, and an astonishing panorama via the standard oversized sunroof. Sadly, this particular BMW does not deliver on initial build quality expectations. In this owner's experience, repairs have been performed on a near-monthly basis, beginning only weeks after initial ownership. The vehicle is assembled by Magna Steyr in Austria. Be ready to expect, at the least, noisy lifters (repaired with a complete cylinder head exchange), a rattling sunroof (the bane of the X3), and incessant rear cargo cover squeaking (persistent despite replacement of the entire cover). With the 2007 X3, BMW falls short of their reputation, with overall shoddy interior craftsmanship, an area in which squeaks, rattles and groans abound. Oh, and did I mention that the heat no longer works via the dashboard vents? In summary, while BMW provides incredible handling and engineering, the X3 falls short in the quality department, particularly when the astounding asking price is taken into consideration. More reliable and rewarding alternatives would include the Acura MDX or similar vehicles (i.e. Land Rover).

Love my car

It's a great family car and drives fantastic.

- Carrie Connerley, 2014 BMW X3

Good value

I have been a Mercedes driver for 20 years, both sedans and the ML. I was seriously looking for another Benz but found them a bit more money than I wanted to spend and the mpg was a bit poor. I tried the Acura MDX and RDX, the MBZ ML350. I found they either had only fair gas mileage or unacceptable ride/noise. I drove the X3 and found it to be a real nice ride, the mpg is about 15% better than the others, and the performance is impressive. This small SUV is more like a high end sports car with AWD. Love it.

Wonderful car at a great price!
