Several yrs. ago, I purchased a BMW 328 from Car Max, I returned this year and purchsed a 2009 BMX X5 with 52,000 miles. The BMX was in perfect shape, handled like a dream and wraps around the driver, we down sized from a Toyota Sequoia purchased new and driven for 285,000 miles. The BMW is quite an advance over the bulky Sequoia although the Toyota was a great SUV with four children. Now with two not driving the down size and better gas mileage are more suited for our family. You can not jump in the BMW and just go, reading the manual is a required. The X5 is driver friendly and offers many features only found on luxury driving machines. Being lower than the Toyota we expected a somewhat different view of the road yet the windshield design gives a very open and wide view of the road. The interior is a design award mix of leather, dark wood and steel that really brings back a lost period of airplane craftsmenship. We love it.
I did my own research before hand.

Great vehicle as long as you're thorough with your OWN inspection. Treat every car like there's something wrong with it. Remember that he sales people are great but they are still sales people. They won't watch out for you better than YOU.

When the best features of both SUVs and wagons were incorporated into a single vehicle — the crossover — the automobile industry was revolutionized. Crossovers have the ample storage space and off-road capability of SUVs, plus the added practicality and drivability of a wagon. What’s not to love about a crossover?
