Customer Review Summary for BMW X5
2008 BMW X5HotRodMan - Virginia Beach01/17/2012
The 2008 BMW X5 feels very solid and well built. It has about the same driver leg room (I'm 6-4) as a much bigger SUV such as a Lincoln Navigator or Ford Expedition but handles and drives far better. With the 3.0 in-line six, perfomance is very good, especially in Sport mode. The V8 version is even better. So far, I am averaging 21.1 mpg with a mix of in-town and highway driving. Overall, I am very happy with the X5.
I did my own research before hand.
2009 BMW X5Robert Doe - Las Vegas, NV08/10/2016
Great vehicle as long as you're thorough with your OWN inspection. Treat every car like there's something wrong with it. Remember that he sales people are great but they are still sales people. They won't watch out for you better than YOU.
Best vehicle I ever owned
2012 BMW X5big bear angus - Chicago, IL02/19/2017
2 years ownership so far
Tons of luxury features
Went to IKEA brought giant items with room to spare(Finally)
It can drive slow like a king or like a sports car when u in the mood, it drives best on highway, the screaming 2 stage turbo can left all other cars in the dust easily
Great gas mileage, nearly 600 highway miles for each tank
Fantastic looking headlights and grills, I wish the newer model x5 can keep them
Build like a tank, ride like a king and queen, great on snow, now I wish there is more snow in Chicago
Thick frame, the car warms up really fast in couple minutes in winter time, unlike my previous Accord's skinny frames takes forever
Cost average 2k to maintain per year, which actually cheaper than my 11 years old Honda Accord
