I purchased this 2007 Z4 BMW M because I loved the hardtop body style that BMW ONLY produced for 2 years, 2007 and 2008. They have different body styles prior and current, however I feel this body style is the most seductive. Typical BMW, there are things in the interior that seem cheap and delicate. You sit very low in this car and there are a TON of blindspots. Its also very difficult to determine how close you are to the curb as a result of sitting so low. The front of the car also sits low to the ground, so you have to be oh so very careful about driveways, as I sadly found out the hard way. Its a fun car to drive, but not an easy car to drive. Its a short gearbox and if you don't shift it exactly at the right point it lurches! Still with all that said.... I can't help but to stare and admire its beauty and the thrill of the performance. Definitely not a daily driver, but great for the weekends!
This car is great. I had a boxster and I enjoy this car better. More leg room and tight fit
I've been very pleased with my Z4 since I got it. The Good: The handling is amazing and acceleration is quick. The automatic transmission shifts very smoothly. The convertible top goes down and up in about 15 seconds. The look of the car is definitely an attention grabber, looks best with the top down. The car looks small, but despite that I fit nicely and so do some of my larger friends. I'm 5'-9", 200 lbs. The Bad: On rough roads the ride is hard. I have the run flat tires which accounts for some of the hardness but not all. The suspension is just too stiff. The top is cloth, not vinyl, so there is a little more care that needs to be taken but it gives it a more classy look. Overall: I would recommend this to anyone wanting a nice luxury roadster for a fair amount. Similar Cars: The Nissan 350Z does perform slightly better but it lacks European style. The Audi TT has a smooth ride but the car is too sluggish and ugly. The Honda S2000 got discontinued for a reason. I hope this helped. =)
