Great for family travel

The Enclave is great. Very spacious for my family and without the headache of moving seats to access the third row. All the amenties included with the Enclave are spectacular. Hands free calling and onstar make life much easier. The ride is very smooth and the lines of the vehicle are very attractive. Details to the interior are a bonus. Everything is at your fingertips. Great sound in the stereo, not to mention the built in dvd player, another added bonus. I would definitely recommend the Buick Enclave.

Love the car, hate the problems

We bought our 2009 enclave with 34,000 miles. We fell in love with the space, comfort, and look of the car. We had just sold our 2005 Pathfinder. When we got it home we noticed some bubbling on the black surface around the windows. We took it to the dealer and was told this was a common problem with the enclave. They fixed it at no charge since it was still under warranty. As we drove the car more that week we started to notice that it doesn't have the power that my pathfinder did. It is a very heavy car with not enough power. The transmission is constantly shifting and RPMs going up while you are driving. We find this annoying and it really affects the gas mileage. I don't see this car ever getting 24mpg as stated. We also noticed a strange grinding sound with sharp turns and thought it to be low on power steering fluid. Checked it and it had plenty. Three wks after purchasing the car we noticed alot of fluid under it and a strange smell so we took it in to the dealer. The water pump was broken, power steering pump, power steering gear, and the oil pan was leaking. Once again, we were told that these were common problems with the enclave. All of this was replaced at no charge due to the warranty. This is a beautiful car with tons of room, comfort, and all the bells and whistles. With all of that being said, I think buick thought more about all of those things than performance and durability. I feel that this car is way too expensive to have had all of those problems even before 35,000 miles. It seems so fragile compared to my Nissan. We love the car but hate the problems. Hopefully there won't be anymore. I would recommend it to a friend but would also let them know about the problems that we have had.
