Transmission: Automatic Color:Brown Interior Color: Gray Average Vehicle Review: (4.263 reviews) We bought our 2009 enclave with 34,000 miles. We fell in love with the space, comfort, and look of the car. We had just sold our 2005 Pathfinder. When we got it home we noticed some bubbling on the black surface around the windows. We took it to the dealer and was told this was a common problem with the enclave. They fixed it at no charge since it was still under warranty. As we drove the car more that week we started to notice that it doesn't have the power that my pathfinder did. It is a very heavy car with not enough power. The transmission is constantly shifting and RPMs going up while you are driving. We find this annoying and it really affects the gas mileage. I don't see this car ever getting 24mpg as stated. We also noticed a strange grinding sound with sharp turns and thought it to be low on power steering fluid. Checked it and it had plenty. Three wks after purchasing the car we noticed alot of fluid under it and a strange smell so we took it in to the dealer. The water pump was broken, power steering pump, power steering gear, and the oil pan was leaking. Once again, we were told that these were common problems with the enclave. All of this was replaced at no charge due to the warranty. This is a beautiful car with tons of room, comfort, and all the bells and whistles. With all of that being said, I think buick thought more about all of those things than performance and durability. I feel that this car is way too expensive to have had all of those problems even before 35,000 miles. It seems so fragile compared to my Nissan. We love the car but hate the problems. Hopefully there won't be anymore. I would recommend it to a friend but would also let them know about the problems that we have had.

Great vehicle!

I purchased the AWD Enclave to replace a Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. There is no comparison between the 2 vehicles regarding luxury, quality or ride comfort, the Enclave wins hands down! We are currently averaging 16mpg which is lower than we hoped for but is much better than our old Jeep (average 12mpg). I also use the Enclave to tow an eighteen foot bowrider boat with trailer (approx 4000 lbs). The Enclave does a great job towing the boat, note that our Enclave does have the FACTORY towing package installed which is required if you plan on towing. Then only area the Jeep would be better is off-road use or towing a heavy vehicle.

My Enclave

I've had 3 Cadillacs prior to this, and enjoy this much more than any of them. The "bells and whistles" are outstanding, as is the comfort. My friends also are in awe. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the fine service and attention I've received by the CarMax people, in two different states.

value for money

We were in the market for a car that will work for us today and also something that we can grow in to when the family increases. We were looking for AWD and comfort along with decent performance at a price point that was attractive to us. We found all of that in our 2009 Buick Enclave! Ride is super comfortable and it comes with all bells and whistles expected of a luxury brand. Performance is good too without compromising too much on fuel efficiency :)
