great car!! Just high apr!!!

2010 Buick LaCrosse Javoy Gee - Mexia, TX 12/04/2016

It's a great car

Comfort on the road

2010 Buick LaCrosse Dan Davidson - Citrus Heights, CA 11/18/2015

Car is comfortable, good performance, miles per gallon a bit low but expected considering te size of the vehicle. Lots of 'extras' that came with the car add to the positive experience of driving/riding in this car.

Awesome LaCrosse purchase

2010 Buick LaCrosse gomab1979 - Clarksville, TN 07/16/2012

My new LaCrosse is AWESOME! I am very excited and glad that I chose this vehicle. The ride is sooo smooth and extremely quite. My two final choices came down to a 2010 Acura TL and the 2010 Buick LaCrosse and judging from the title, I guess you know which came out on top, lol! I settled for at least two features, but all-in-all, I'm extremely satisfied with my decision to own another Buick!

2010 Buick Lacrosse Overview

While Buick once had a reputation for boxy cars that were only purchased by the elderly, the redesign for the 2010 model year dispelled any concerns about the relevancy of Buick in the modern era. The 2010 Lacrosse was a leap forward for Buick, and provided fresh, clean styling and a host of new features. In one model year, the car company went from being mostly ignored to offering a competitive midsize sedan that was upscale and commanded attention. This redesign was just what the company needed to show that it could offer cars people really wanted to own, drive, and enjoy.

2010 Buick Lacrosse History

Because Buick had struggled for a long time, sales were down and people simply were not buying the cars. Then 2010 came along, and Buick came out with something so different and unexpected based on what they had been offering. It got the attention of car buyers and of reviewers who suddenly had much nicer things to say about Buick, including:

  • The 2010 model year offered an upscale sedan
  • Handling was sharper than in past models
  • New styling traded in the boxy look for sleek elegance
  • All-wheel drive was available for better handling

How It Drives

The ride of the 2010 Buick Lacrosse is quiet, with a low level of cabin noise. But it does not completely filter out everything, which is a benefit to those who want some sensory input from the low level of road and wind noise. Handling has been vastly improved when compared to the Buicks of the past, many of which were spongy and sluggish when responding to cues from the driver. The downside to the new design is a lower ability to see out the rear of the vehicle when backing up, but moving beyond the base model allows for rear parking sensors and a navigation system with a backup camera as options to make parking and backing a bit easier.

Used 2010 Buick Lacrosse Value

The Buick Lacrosse does not hold the same value as some of its higher-end counterparts from Acura or Lexus, but does still show value comparable to Ford and other American carmakers. As of 2016, the majority of Buick Lacrosse vehicles for sale with a 2010 model year were priced between $12,000 and $21,000. This range is commonly seen for the Ford Taurus and Chevy Malibu as well, making the Buick a comparable vehicle in quality and value.

Design & Performance

The complete redesign of the Lacrosse for the 2010 model year has made Buick competitive again, and showcased that car companies can come back from years of decisions that might not have been in their best interest or helped endear them to the public. With the 2010 model year, the Buick Lacrosse offers:

  • Three different engine options for buyers to choose from
  • Three trim levels, taking the car from quality to elegant
  • A new, contemporary design to match what today's buyers want
  • Premium sound options, along with a Comfort and Convenience package

Powertrain & Engine

There are three engine options offered in the 2010 Buick Lacrosse. A base-model four-cylinder, a 3.0L V6, and a 3.6L V6. The 3.0L comes standard and provides 255 hp. Drivers who want better fuel economy can opt for the four-cylinder instead. For buyers who want a little extra power and handling, the 3.6L engine may be the right choice. All model options come with an automatic, six-speed transmission, and there is no opportunity for a manual transmission with this sedan. Front-wheel and all-wheel drive are both available.

Body Style & Interior Comfort

Among the biggest changes to the Lacrosse for the 2010 model year is the body styling. The bulbous, boxy look of past Buicks is gone, and in its place is the sleek, sophisticated offering the company has created. The lines are sharper and the vehicle is much more stylish, but the size has remained virtually the same. That means there is no compromise with legroom and cabin space, which is actually larger and more comfortable than the past Lacrosse models. The new Buick includes:

  • A power driver seat, and optional Comfort and Convenience package
  • An option for heated mirrors and front seats, along with leather upholstery
  • Package that provide keyless ignition and a heated steering wheel
  • A touring package and navigation system

The 2010 Buick Lacrosse is an excellent departure from what Buick had offered in the past, and provides a welcome handling and driving experience for anyone looking for a reasonably priced, midsize sedan.
