Reviews for 2012 Cadillac CTS
2012 Cadillac CTS AWD
I purchased this Cadillac CTS with less that 7,000 miles on it. So far I can share mixed reviews. I traded in a 2009 Lincoln MKS with 50,000 miles on it and this review will mostly compare the 2. The good: It's ride is especially smooth, especially cornering. The suspension feels tighter, less vibration from the road. I think it looks nicer, however that is subjective. The premium sound compares well with the premium Lincoln sound system. The Cadillac Warranty (completely transferable) covers the power train (Motor and transmission) for 100,000 ,miles and covers bumper to bumper for 4 years 50,000 miles. Lincoln covered 4 years 48,000 bumper to bumper and no extension for motor, transmission. Services- Cadillac covers normal services- oil changes, tire rotation and balancing while the care is under the bumper to bumper warrant at no cost. Neutral: I have not had any mechanical issues with either car, except for a power window issue. The not so good: The estimated MPG is a high estimation. I averaged 2 full MPG more with the Lincoln MKS than I do with this car over the same roads and conditions. This car is smaller, and there is less room in this car. Adding after market pop up navigation is not recommended as it is price prohibitive (I was told over $4000 because of codes and errors). If you want built in navigation, make sure the model you are buying has it. The paint on the Lincoln help up against scratches better, the Cadillac scratches easily.
Excellent car. Looks and drives great. Pay extra for the 3.6 L engine and you will not be disappointed. Decided to buy American and support the economy. Sold my Mercedes E320 as repair bills were were consistently high. So far no complaints with my CTS.
