We bought our 2007 ESV with about 39,000 miles in good condition and still under factory warranty. The ESV is great. It has plenty of room, great power and rides very well. The 2007 was not offered with the Platinum package so there is no magnetic ride control, cylinder deactivation and some of the other luxury features. Regardless, we are very happy with the base features as they provide plenty of functionality and comfort. We get around 12 - 13 MPG around the city and up to 19 MPG on the freeway if we take it easy.
There are a few areas to watch for. The heated windshield washer needs to be disabled by the dealer due to an electrical issue. The transmission can shift a little roughly but there is an update to the computer software available from GM. There can be some flaking on the interior door handles. Finally, sometimes the badges and dark trim around the doors will show some wear or flaking in the clear coat.
