2006 V-8 SRX with approximately 26K. Driven nearly 4K since purchase. Ultra View sunroof has not given us any issues yet; the views are amazing [almost like being in a convertible]! Tested the SRX on some winding Utah roads in the mountains--handles like a car, grips the road well. Accelerates on the highway with ease. Headlamps are bright and crisp. Cabin space is roomy, seats are comfortable on long road trips. Third row seat folds down electronically, which allows for increased cargo room. Rear lift gate opens/closes when button on key FOB is pressed, which is very handy when trying to put groceries or other items in the vehicle [instead of juggling all the items around or setting things on the ground]. Initially, we weren't sold on the exterior looks, which are slightly reminiscent of an aggressive mini-van. However, the looks grow on you and the front part of the vehicle is classic Cadillac in appearance. Overall, we find the SRX an excellent buy: great value and quality interior/exterior. The one detractor would be the poor gas mileage--around 22 MPG on the highway and 17 MPG city.
Very smooth driving vehicle. Interior is quiet and comfortable. Plenty of room for my needs. I highly recommend this vehicle and model. Easy to manuver around town and into parking spaces. Very safe car.
We wanted a SUV that offered a smooth, comfortable ride; in-dash GPS, great Stereo sound, sun roof, leather seats, and the latest safety options. The 2006 Cadillac SRX has been a great choice for our family. Luxurious interior coupled with a nice suspension system offers a great ride over bumpy roads. While we don't need a V-8 for everyday needs, the power is nice to have when you need it. With the third row seat, you lose a bit of storage capability (side storage compartments in the rear area would be a nice feature), however, when it is folded flat you have a goodly amount of space for other items, like dogs, bags, or boxes. The large sun roof spans both of the two front rows and the wind shield does a great job of diverting blowing wind into the car when the roof is retracted. Our only complaint is the lack of a jack to plug in our iPod. We are looking forward to our next long road trip.
