Art and Science

I am completely sold on GMs new effort to re-invent itself. I agree with most critics about Cadillac, as well. The STS was part of the spearhead to establish the Marque on the world stage. After driving this car I found out what all the hubbub was about. This car is a heck of a machine. It is smooth, quiet, and fast. The features of the car abound and leaves you wanting for nothing. It is a sexy and sophisticated machine that is screwed together quite well! I think I will be a Cadillac man from now on.

I purchased a 2011 Cadillac STS4 which is the all wheel drive version. I LOVE the all wheel drive, especially in the rain. The car is quiet and powerful enough. I would recommend the performance package over the base model. There the good ends. The seats are brand new and they squeak all the time, the doors are small and the front seats are placed behind the door pillars making it hard to get into. The base model APPEARS to have Bluetooth capability but it does not. It's an option until 2012. You have Onstar telephone service which is OUTRAGEOUSLY expensive. You cannot upgrade the Onstar unit to one that has Bluetooth as GM has issued a "FORBIDDEN TO UPGRADE TECH ORDER" to all GM dealerships and after market solution centers won't touch it. It doesn't have keyless ignition, doesn't have backup camera or sensors, the music system (Bose) is good but it is a basic plug in the iPod system which does not control the music library or the iPod controls. Frankly... GM / Cadillac are lagging WAY behind any of the other high end import car makers (Intiniti, Lexus etc). Given another change and for the same money I'd buy the Infiniti G-37 which has NONE of the issues listed above. C'mon General Motors... is THIS how you compete with the world market?

Not bad for an American car

Have had the car for 2 months now. Plenty of interior space and decent trunk space. Glove compartment is tiny. Im getting about 18-19 miles per gallon with about 75% highway driving. Not sure if there are engine options but mine has the V-8 w 300+ HP engine. Very fast car. Acceleration is incredible for such a large car. Fit and finish is OK for American standards. I just sold a 2000 lexus GS 400 with 235k miles on it and still regret it. Even as nice as the STS is there is no comparison to the Lexus GS or larger LS series. If you have the money go Lexus. If not, this is a nice alternative.
