We are really enjoying the car. It looks great and drives and rides great. We have taken it on several trips and it was very comfortable. We get a lot of compliments on the beauty of the color and style of the car.
I'm pretty picky when it comes to cars. Must be American, have a V8, and be rear wheel drive. Also must look great in black! This car is all that and more. Solid performance with the 320HP V8 and nicely tuned suspension. Now this car is not "soft" like your grandpa's Cadillac. It's more like a touring suspension, a little firm for decent handling, but not too firm. The performance from the V8 is excellent, always there when you need it. Exhaust sounds good too. The 5-spd transmission always knows what gear it should be in. This car overall is smooth and quiet. Interior is nice with real wood accents, full leather, soft touch materials, sun roof, dual zone climate, rear climate, front and back heated seats, memory seats, EXCELLENT Bose stereo, all windows do auto up and down, controls on steering wheel, lots of adjustable settings in computer, back-up sensor shows three lights for distance to object, just to list a few. Oh yea, and my favorite is that you never have to take the key out of your pocket. Walk up to car and doors unlock and seats, mirrors, radio, and climate control all adjust to your personal settings. When key 2 is used (wife), then car adjusts to her settings, nice! Then when you get in, just push the button on dash and car starts! No key needed. Also you can start the car with your remote and have the car cooled or warmed before you get inside. Downsides are but a few... I only average about 17mpg. Steering could be a little more sensitive. Setting preferences in the computer is harder than it needs to be. Part of the center console is hard plastic, not soft touch. Overall I'd recommend this car, an excellent value used and the only American car comparable to BMW, Mercedes, Lexus, and Infinity in my opinion.
Third Cadi! Traded up from Devilles which we loved for road cars. We drove both of those cars to nearly 200,000 miles. Altho the STS is somewhat smaller, it still delivers comfortably on road trips for my wife & me. Good gas mileage...mid-20s; great get up & go cruising or passing. Not the cushion ride cushion ride of the Devilles, but still steady, sure footed, & "inside conversation" quiet. AWD has performed nicely in wet or snow. Many more creature comforts than we had in either Deville. Liking it!
