2006 Cadillac STSSgrant22 - Saint Augustine, FL06/11/2009
I've owned several Lexus cars, Jags, and Chevys, and Fords and by far the STS is the best car I've ever owned. Don't get me wrong Lexus is a great car, but my STS equals and exceeds the Lexus in almost every measure. Every friend of mine who has been in the car agrees that this is a great car.
This car is not a gas sipper, so don't buy it if you think you are going to save gas money. I get 18-20 mpg at 75 MPG and an a crazy 25 MPG at 55.
Sweet Spot of Late STS Models
2009 Cadillac STSHerb Morgan - Albuquerque, NM01/18/2016
Third Cadi! Traded up from Devilles which we loved for road cars. We drove both of those cars to nearly 200,000 miles. Altho the STS is somewhat smaller, it still delivers comfortably on road trips for my wife & me. Good gas mileage...mid-20s; great get up & go cruising or passing. Not the cushion ride cushion ride of the Devilles, but still steady, sure footed, & "inside conversation" quiet. AWD has performed nicely in wet or snow. Many more creature comforts than we had in either Deville. Liking it!

I am completely sold on GMs new effort to re-invent itself. I agree with most critics about Cadillac, as well. The STS was part of the spearhead to establish the Marque on the world stage. After driving this car I found out what all the hubbub was about. This car is a heck of a machine. It is smooth, quiet, and fast. The features of the car abound and leaves you wanting for nothing. It is a sexy and sophisticated machine that is screwed together quite well! I think I will be a Cadillac man from now on.
