Transmission: Automatic Color: White Avg. Vehicle Review: 5 (61 reviews) "I absolutely love this car! It is sleek and sexy, and I feel like a VIP when I drive it! I especially enjoy the looks on the faces of my friends and co-workers when they see it: "Wow! You drive a Cadillac?" My husband and older son are both over 6 feet tall, and my younger son is quickly catching up with them, and all four of us fit comfortably! There is plenty of storage space, and the boys like being able to access the trunk easily through the back seat, so long trips are a lot easier for all of us! My advice: If you have the opportunity, get it!"

Transmission: Automatic Color: Silver Avg. Vehicle Review: 2.667 (61 reviews) "I think the 2005 Cadillac STS with a 3.6L V-6 is a strong contender for best bargain-priced luxury car. I love this car. Without looking under the hood only the sharpest eye can pick out the difference between the V-6 and V-8. It has a very smooth, edgy, almost streamlined shape. With the V-6, I got everything I'd want in a luxury sport sedan, without an extravagantly high price of an import, and with the Luxury Performance package, it includes a lot of neat gadgetry (gorgeous wood trim including on the heated steering wheel, express up on all windows, NAV, rain-sensing wipers, etc). Of note, the keyless access and keyless engine start (all you need is the key fob) is awesome! With the key fob in your pocket, the car will unlock for you when you touch the handle. When you get inside, you put your foot on the brake pedal, push a button near the steering column, and the engine starts. When you park, you push the button to turn the engine off. When you close the last door and walk away from the car, it automatically locks itself. VERY slick! The only problem now is that I am spoiled and want every other car I drive to lock/unlock automatically now. LOL! The 3.6L V-6 variable valve timing (VVT) engine is a delightful, advanced engine. Think of it as a Northstar with 2 cylinders cut off. Power is smooth and the engine quiet, with plenty of power. It also has the huge advantage of being able to run well on regular gas. The V-6 puts out 255hp, but more importantly 252 lb-ft of torque (90% of which comes on at 1,600rpm they say). All this power gets to the rear wheels via a 5-speed, manually controllable, automatic transmission. Step on the gas and you go. The V-6 will pull the STS from 0 - 60mph in 6.6 seconds I read. This combo will serve perfectly well in 99% of the driving situations most of us are likely to find ourselves in. I thought I'd yearn for the '08 DI 303 hp version, or the V-8 Northstar, but I don't miss either. The V-6 also has the advantage of being lighter and more nimble that the V-8, especially with the performance package that adds stiffer suspension, bigger performance disc brakes, ZF steering, etc. My only concern with the V-6 engine is its fuel economy, in which I am getting about 18mpg in mixed city and highway driving. Its decent but not great in that respect. A used '05-'07 STS provides you with a quick, luxurious, feature-laden, and well built RWD sedan for the same money that you could get a brand new, mid-sized FWD family sedan for. However, you'll get better engineering, build quality, and more features. You'll be driving something with more panache and exclusivity, and showing pride in how domestic engineering can be on par with that of anything else in the world."

Perfect for Me!

2005 Cadillac STS Buster - Richmond, VA 04/14/2010

This vehicle is the one I've been looking for. It has everything a driver could ask for and more. You can't go wrong with a cadillac.
