My truck has already proven useful for projects at home, be it fitting 4' x 8' sheets of plywood in the back w/the mid-gate down. Or, be it filling the bed up with mulch at the recycling center. The truck is also extremely comfortable for a daily commute and long trips. So far, our longest trip was from the DC Area to Myrtle Beach. The truck has no problems with the Appalachians when heading back to Pburgh. Daily driving on 95 / 495 is not an issue; keeps up with traffic. Ride height is excellent to see what's up ahead. Family friendly. We fit 3 of my 10 y/o son's friends in the back seat with room to spare.
This vehicle is great for anyone who does not have more than 2 kids and stable enough to be able to refuel for travel. Women!!! Take care of the vehicle, regular maintenance makes a world of difference!! Finally, short people make sure you have a helper to wash her!
I bought this beast to pull my 22 foot Regal, and for moving stuff. It pulls my boat with zero problems. Ride is great, rear passengers have no complaints, and the climate control is great (but sometimes the choice of manual operation and automatic operation are not clear). Midgate operation is simple and takes less than 30 seconds. The back up feature, though sometimes annoying, is a big asset in a vehicle this size and I would not be without it. It ism very sensitize and can even sense and alert me when someone is passing behind me (car or person) when I am in reverse. Mileage in town is about 14-15, and if I keep it 64 mph the highway mileage is about 20 (this ia a 5.3 liter). This is the LT3 model, and I would have lijked sun visor extensions and mud flaps. My complaints are that the air dam is low, and can plow in the snow, and the visiblity (rear and side), and the clock is inaccurate. Minor stuff huh!
