Transmission: Manual 5 Speed Color: Red Avg. Vehicle Review: 4.191 (169 reviews) "I got this car because my poor little 1991 Honda finally gave out after 19 years of service. I couldn't afford much, being poor college kid, but I looked for something cheap, but of high quality. When I first set out on my journey, I didn't expect to buy an American car, my family has been loyal to Toyotas and Hondas since the seventies, long before I came around, but I looked into this car more and more, and it really was the perfect car. It has manual mirrors, manual seats, manual locks... pretty much the only thing automatic in the car is the transmission. I didn't think I'd like all the manual stuff that much at first, but after driving it for quite a while now--I even took it on a 900 mile road trip with four other college friends to Cape Canaveral, Florida--and I must say it is the best car I've ever had. It's little, perfect for college town parking spaces, it's nice and light weight, and it has been more than worth the price tag. It may not have cruise control, which was my ONLY complaint, but I got over that quickly and easily. It's good quality, good price, and is, in my opinion, the best little car that any college kid can hope for--and this is coming from the college kid and from the college kid's parents."

Perfect Car for a College Kid

2007 Chevrolet Aveo Poor College Kid ;) - Athens, GA 05/17/2010

Great little car

2008 Chevrolet Aveo Sami - Texas 06/16/2010

Just purchased a Chevy Aveo for my daughter. One of the few cars we found that she could totally drive safely at her size- five feet even! She is getting 25 miles per gallon in the city. The car is small enough for her to handle safely, yet cute and sporty enough that she likes the looks. I liked the price! I would recommend this car!

One Surprising Little Car

2008 Chevrolet Aveo Comicbabe - Kansas City, KS 10/10/2010

I got my Chevy Aveo after I had my heart set on a Ford Focus but none of the ones available made it past my strict check list. I already liked the look of the little red sporty sedan. So I took it for a test drive and wasn't disappointed. It's acceleration is a little similar to a standard which was a little adjustment due to it being an automatic. But despite that it gets great get up and go. Though the best perks to this little gem is all the saftey features. Front, passenger airbags, and side airbags even. Sensors that enable or disable the passenger side airbag. I feel safe driving this car with my family inside. Another surprise was the enormous trunk on this little car. I have no problem fitting tons of groceries into the back. Most of my family is shocked when I pop the trunk and they see all the room it has. All and all I have been very pleased with this car. I hope that it continues to be that way. I am sure that if I stick to my strict rules to maintain a car. It will last as long as my last one( also a Chevy 140,000 miles and still running).
