I really like the Chevy Aveo. It has been a great little car so far. It gets great gas mileage and runs like a champ.
Overall, I fell in love with my car as soon as I saw it. It was the only car I test drove and I knew I wanted it. The gas mileage is great and it is really cheap to fill it up. the only thing I am having trouble with is that my front tires make a squealing sound if I drive over 80 on the highway. But for the most part, it is a good car, has a lot of room and very functional.
I got this car because my poor little 1991 Honda finally gave out after 19 years of service. I couldn't afford much, being poor college kid, but I looked for something cheap, but of high quality. When I first set out on my journey, I didn't expect to buy an American car, my family has been loyal to Toyotas and Hondas since the seventies, long before I came around, but I looked into this car more and more, and it really was the perfect car. It has manual mirrors, manual seats, manual locks... pretty much the only thing automatic in the car is the transmission. I didn't think I'd like all the manual stuff that much at first, but after driving it for quite a while now--I even took it on a 900 mile road trip with four other college friends to Cape Canaveral, Florida--and I must say it is the best car I've ever had. It's little, perfect for college town parking spaces, it's nice and light weight, and it has been more than worth the price tag. It may not have cruise control, which was my ONLY complaint, but I got over that quickly and easily. It's good quality, good price, and is, in my opinion, the best little car that any college kid can hope for--and this is coming from the college kid and from the college kid's parents.
