Dossappointed

I purchased my Captiva Sport after doing a lot of research. I loved how it handled and drove. Was a very comfortable car to ride in and loved my heated seats and remote start, espically living in Michigan. After 6 months of owning it, I was stranded. Something went wrong in the shifter. Had to have it towed to the dealership and had a rental car for a couple of days. Before that happened whenever I had it in the Eco drive the car shifted gears hard. In the last couple of months the gears are shifting hard again with out the Eco boost and I was stranded again two weeks ago!! A tow truck driver had to help me get it started again stating that the key lock sticks a lot. Three times in the winter I got stuck although the vehicle is off the ground and has a V 6. Although I love it, I'm looking to replace it. I can't drive something unreliable!! And the gas mileage is horrible with the air conditioner running!! Money pit!!!

awesome SUV

I've been with my SUV for a whole month and I don't regret getting it, not even a bit. I got the leather version and it's awesome. I get Bluetooth, USB port, keyless start, I even have the option of having it eco boost instead of full 6 cylinder performance. I rated good on performance because while on eco boost the car tends to hold back and give you that kick whenever I'm driving under 25, but when in full 6 cylinder performance it accelerates fast (faster than I can handle), and it runs smoothly. For the price I payed I could say that I'm getting more than expected.

Captiva Sport LTZ AWD

I love the LTZ package! Leather, sunroof, remote start, chrome wheels - all the good stuff. I feel really great driving this car. Although I have AWD, all Captiva Sport SUVs have really really bad gas mileage for its size. I average 17 mpg. Some 2 ton trucks get better gas mileage these days. The ECO button saves about 1mpg, so it's not really worth the jerky engine in ECO mode. If you can get past the gas-shock, you will love this vehicle. My family fits great; there is plenty of room for everyone, even the dog in the hatch back!
