Used 2012 Chevrolet Captiva Sport LS in Dulles, VA
Reviews for 2012 Chevrolet Captiva Sport
I purchased my Captiva Sport after doing a lot of research. I loved how it handled and drove. Was a very comfortable car to ride in and loved my heated seats and remote start, espically living in Michigan. After 6 months of owning it, I was stranded. Something went wrong in the shifter. Had to have it towed to the dealership and had a rental car for a couple of days. Before that happened whenever I had it in the Eco drive the car shifted gears hard. In the last couple of months the gears are shifting hard again with out the Eco boost and I was stranded again two weeks ago!! A tow truck driver had to help me get it started again stating that the key lock sticks a lot. Three times in the winter I got stuck although the vehicle is off the ground and has a V 6. Although I love it, I'm looking to replace it. I can't drive something unreliable!! And the gas mileage is horrible with the air conditioner running!! Money pit!!!

Thrilled with my Captiva
I stumbled across this model while researching new vehicles only to find that it was manufactured for Fleet/short term rentals only. While visiting a dealership to test ride a Chevrolet Equinox, I saw one on the lot and fell in love with it. It was extremely comfortable and handled great. It was pre-owned and disclosed that it was a fleet vehicle. I drove ten other cars over a two week period and could not find one in my price range that was as comfortable to sit in. I elected to purchase one with heated, power, leather seats (The Convenience Pkg.) and I am not sorry. It is slightly smaller than an Equinox, but after 21 years of mini-vans and two grown children, I didn't need a large SUV. I just wanted something that sat high, had cargo space, was easy to maneuver and comfortable. The controls are well located on the dash and steering wheel. It has Bluetooth, satellite radio, On-star, and automatic temperature heat/air. Also it included IPod and mp3 outlets, in addition to three 12 volt outlets. The car has great pick up (6 cyl), and is very smooth when accelerating. The ride is solid and smooth and the doors close with a satisfying thunk; there is nothing cheap feeling about the vehicle. I would highly recommend the 2012 Captiva Sport LT.
