A Chevy Cobal was not the car I was looking for, but ended up being the perfect car for me. It rides great and the gas milage is wonderful.
I purchased the cobalt and had to have the column cylinder replaced at the end of the week as the engine would not turn off at all.....1 1/2 months later when having the oil changed I had to have more work done to correct an oil leak and oil being thrown into part of the engine. Other than those repairs I love this car. It is getting 33 mpg's. All of the important things (CD, radio, ac, etc) work wonderfully. To be such a compact car the trunk is amazing with the space it has....If you put the back seats down (which you can do) an average person could sleep in the back of the car/trunk.
Bought this car for my daughter (her first car) and so far its been great! 2 months and 2000 miles since bought, 12,000 mies total now. MINOR issues, inside door handle plating startng to bubble and come off of drivers and passenger side. Passenger rear window sticks and wont go down. Also has an inside A post moulding that is warped, looks like heat damage from the sun. All minor issues and still under chevy warranty so no problem. Performance is great for a little 4 banger, love that it has ABS, front and side curtain airbags and it drives great! It looks small but really has alot of room everywhere, very surprising. Great milage, should be a very safe car, hope I never find out. All in all its been great so far, would definantly reccomend this vehicle to anyone looking for a fun, safe car that gets good milage and looks good too !!!
