The car has so much power but yet has very good gas mileage. The 08 Vette handles very well in the city and on the highway. I'm impressed with the comfortable ride as well as the looks of the interior. I didnt expect a car with 436 HP to have so many cool features. My next sports car will be a newer Vette.
Too many small issues with the car that amount to a frustrating drive. Good power when you need it. Great handling car, but annoying creeks in the glass top; it takes 3 second to engage in drive from reverse, and a few other annoying things.
There is no doubt that 2008 is the prime year for a used C-6 Corvette. The engine and steering upgrades, along with some minor interior tweeks over 2007, makes this year the one to look for in a slightly used Vette. The Z-51 performance package with the cross drilled brake rotors (as well as additional engine and transmission coolers) is a must, as the upgraded rotors avoid a warping issue in the standard issue rotors. The electronics are certainly functional, although the Bose Stereo upgrade is mid-level quality in comparison with those used to luxury import stereo quality. The 430HP LS3 engine, however, does not disappoint. Comfortable seats, well laid out instruments, and the incredible heads up display let you take full advantage of a powerplant and drivetrain built for sheer fun. About the only thing that will take the smile off your face, if only for a little while, is the bill to replace the tires (and you will have to replace the tires!). Very close to exotic performance for a quarter of the price - a value unparalleled in the pure sports car category. Definitely a 5 star vehicle.
