Don't wait any longer! After 25 years of obstacles and excuses I've decided to fulfill a dream. I purchased my 1st Vette and I love it! This car turns heads with its looks and sound. My Vette came with a Corsa exhaust system (not sure if aftermarket or dealer option) and extra roof panel(sun). I express caution to any who hasn't driven a car with such raw American muscle power, it can get away from amateurs. I also recommend 1st timers learn the C6, it's not your average car...many nice features to understand and utilize. I'm average height at 6-1 and the car has plenty of leg room although it's a little awkward getting in/out with roof Panel on. Removing the panel for sunny days takes about 20 seconds. Riding comfort is above average for a sports car. My only dislike (may pertain to my vehicle only) is the slight trouble (intermittently) shifting to 1st while at a light. Overall this is America's sports car legend, believe me when I say everyone bows down to you when pulled-up at a light or parked. Join the club, you won't regret it!
runs ans rides great and gets good gas milage
This is a fun car to drive aggressively on good roads. With the traction control on, the power goes down smoothly and the handling and acceleration never fail to bring a smile. But as the going gets rough, the car is jittery and does not build confidence. Driving position is good and the seats are fairly supportive for my kind of driving. Fit and finish are my major gripes, with body panels that are not evenly matched and paint work that seems rough, especially around the wheel wells and the rocker panels. However, the car looks really good, especially if you like white. Gas mileage is impressive, especially on the open highway. Around town, it is reasonable given the desire to be on the throttle. The clutch is easy to modulate but, even if not ridden, when pushed, the car tends to have a buring smell. Also, around town, be aware that the car is low and will scrape on dips if you aren't careful. All in all, though, it's really good value for your buck.
