only problem I had was the seat had a noise at time of purchase. I had extended and factory warranty and dealership was very nice and repaired.
This is my first SUV ,I've had a standard veh all my driving life. After 35 years of driving(6 different cars)the Equinox will be my family car for life. It gives you a luxury feel and power/rugidness all at the same time. I put on my suit or work out gear and never skip a beat.
Haven't owned a GM since college and really didn't want one until my kids got envolved in scouts. Gave up my Volkswagon Passat for an SUV. Needed something to haul three kids, dog and yet communte daily wishing for decent gas milage. Looked at all my options and fell into an Equinox. Boy am I surprised! GM has come a long way. This SUV drives and rides like a larger vehicle, but gets the gas milage of a mid size car. Engine is very responsive, leather is good, MP3 player works with iTunes. And, it's North American made (Chinese+Canadian). Rides relatively quiet, considering I got the sunroof. Plenty of room in the back seat for kids+ and the haul area is also pleasently a surprise. I put a Yakima safari type basket on top for more storage, couldn't be more pleased with this purchase. It feels bigger than it is. Can't wait to get some Michelin tires for it and see if they make a difference. The red color is beautiful, gray leather could be a touch darker, but I'm not complaining. The typical GM clutter has been trimmed down a bit, thank goodness. The SUV looks more European vs typical GM models, nice curves. GM needs to go to seat warmers with all leather, option left off my LT???? Brrrrrrrrrr. Worth your time to drive this one. Stacks up against the Honda CRV and Toyota RAV just fine. Hope the engine and drive train lasts as good as it looks. Very impressed by the engine! If it continues to drive this way beyond 100K, I'll be very pleased and look to GM again. Bravo!
