not a Ford

2006 Chevrolet Equinox Alma - Modesto, CA 09/11/2012

I want a Ford again. This I'd not a car or a purchase experience I would every want too relive. Not happy at all!

2006 Chevy Equinox

2006 Chevrolet Equinox Kelly - Baltimore 11/26/2012

I bought my Equinox used with 62,000 miles on it. It has had a few minor issues, fortunately before the 30 day warranty expired. Overall, it is a good vehicle and reasonably priced. It works for my family and has the space we need for our kids. I know buying used I should not expect perfection and I don't. However, I expected all but one thing that was wrong to be found during the Carmax exam process. It is a good small SUV for a family of no more than four. I think anymore and there would be space problems.

2006 Chevrolet Equinox dissatisfied chick 3 - easley, sc 05/08/2011

i was looking for something that my family could ride in with me because while i'm skinny they are big folks. *Pros: so far its held up good in a car accident after being creamed in the back by a bigger heavier suv. i got bruised from the seatbelt restraining me and keeping me from flying out the windshield the lady hit me so hard. there is more than enough room to fit people and store things inside. if you are tall or short big or small, you can sit far enough from the steering wheel so if the airbag deploys it wont hurt you. its a very beautiful car, it rides really good and handles very well at first. cons: after being in a wreck even with the adjustment kit on the brakes, the car becomes worthless, it remains out of line, be prepared every 7 mo. to buy new tires, and the turning radius is never the same. everything is messed up for some reason, i've been having problems with it ever since. sputtering, cutting off, the shifter doesnt want to shift into another gear, i have a hard time getting it to stop even going slow with brand spanking new brakes on it, etc. the gas milage is horrible after 60k miles and a tune up, i fill it up on 93 and by the end of the week i'm having to fill up again, an i live 10 min. away from my workplace and dont travel much. it drinks gas like crazy esp if its not 93. the wind blows it like crazy!!! the upholstry is very cheap and stains easily. the ignition housing is very bad, only have your key for the car on there otherwise it will break and its 387 to fix it! the brakes are horrible! the sealing of the car is terrible!!! the AC and heat half works & the radio speakers go in and out. its a big money pit, and i wish i had just paid 40 bucks more per month and gotten a brand new crv. you will end up upside down on the cost of the car once you drive it off the lot, so dont forget the gap insurace.
